Slow your scroll because Kevin and Maya BROUGHT IT to their engagement session and you won’t want to miss one second of this! I love couples who are up for adventuring with me regardless of the weather {in high heels no less!} and I love it even more when couples turn their engagement session into a memorable event. Kevin and Maya live in Chicago and decided to make an overnight getaway out of their session by coming to me in Grand Rapids! They got a nice dinner and stayed in a hotel downtown, really cementing this as a fun and beautiful experience of the wedding planning process {which let’s face it, is not always fun and beautiful!}.

Kevin and Maya met when they were living across the country from each other but they hit it off so profoundly that they just couldn’t walk away. They made a long distance relationship {Chicago to New York} work and then it became a longER distance relationship when Maya took a year-long position in Dublin! They saw each other any time they could and when Maya returned, they made plans for Kevin to move to Chicago. Then Kevin proposed and here we are!

PS Maya’s stunning ring is a diamond from Kevin’s grandma’s wedding ring and I have to tell you, that’s something I dream of for my family some day. What an amazing tribute to love and family.
